"and it goes on"

to continue "how it all came undone" what surprises people the most is the "amputation". I had the leg removed on a Monday went to work on Friday, really not that big of a deal. What was a big deal is the business my wife and I had that we had to close. In January 2006 (pathliogocal break ) it all began and from there the business was on a downward slope. The end of the Slope was August of 2007. In the end it was a relief once we were able to get away from the whole enviroment of work , work and work more. We ran a "hands on" Restaurant & Bar. I was the personality "go to person" and my wife was the detail person who kept it all together. In losing my leg the "hands on" approach became "hands off" .... more like sitting around directing trafffic as in playing owner. Being in that position really didn't do much for me that is for sure. I still could wash dishes, help on the line if the kitchen was in the weeds. On one leg hopping around would wear on you after awhile , not to say I did get in the way or I was always asking for staff to get me things. Really I just was not effective and in the way, not that I would give up, just had to be realistic. Stand by.... plenty to come....

How it all came undone

It all started coming undone.... when I slipped and fell to a pathlogical fracture of the femur to find Osteosracoma aka "bone cancer". In the short did the chemo and elected to have my leg amputated to the hip ( hemi-pelvectomy). That word sounds scary, really not that big of a deal. More to come.....
